Why "Be" Church?

Honestly- because for so much of my life and in ministry the objective was always "How do we get people to come to church?" or "If we could just get them to come to church." It's. Not. About. That. It's about us as Christians BEING the church so the world knows whose we are for the sake of HIS LOVE. "They will know we are Christians by our love" - Not by our holy huddles and Christian clubs- not by our "church attendance" - not by our tithe or by how loud we sing, or how many meetings we have- but by WHO WE ARE in every moment during the life we live that HE breathed into us.

Is Jesus at the center?

It's about taking our hearts, resources, and energy to our streets, neighborhoods, and all who we encounter- and it starts in the home. It's an unrelenting and undying effort to live a life of worship and service to our King. It's about taking and making church everywhere! Church isn't a thing we go to, it's US.

Everything God has spoken through scripture talks about what we're called to do AS the church- who we're ought to BE as HIS people. All because of His great love. All because of Jesus. Would it be awesome if you joined us at a worship gathering, absolutely! But the main intent of a church gathering is to worship Jesus and equip the saints to carry out the work and will of God so that they can LIVE out the gospel and BE the church- teaching people along the way that a Sunday morning isn't the end-all or a box we check. Doing life together as true believers who are part of the body of Christ. That's what it's always been about. That's church. Not building a building and hosting "services" and expecting random people to show up. It doesn't work like that. It works by creating and building real relationships, friendships and accountability in the name of Jesus. By going out and BEING the church. Jesus says "GO and make disciples." Not talk at people, condemn people, but to LOVE them in truth- and to do that well, you need to build relationships

with people.

It's not a business. There's no set amount of things or people that you have to have to reach people, worship God and make a difference. Go and BE His child. Go and BE the church now. Go and serve your community. Go and pray and read His word. Go and BE gracious and generous with your resources. BE free from sin and held by His peace! Make a difference today by BEing the church in your home, your neighborhood, your workplace, through your actions by faith. The harvest is plenty and your mission field is everywhere.

Love ya'll - here's a picture of my biggest mission and passion where I try every day to impact hearts and love/serve others:
